White or Yellow Polymer Resin Painted Blade (Lacquered Steel Blade)
An impact resistant steel blade covered by an anti-corrosion phosphorous layer that is then painted yellow or white. The scale is protected by a coating of matt polyester lacquer. Can withstand contact with most common solvents, but should not be folded. Also available in stainless steel, making the tape highly resistant to corrosion and wear.

Etched Stainless Steel Blade
Etched stainless steel oil gauge tapes are useful for gauging many kinds of oils and liquids. The stainless steel blade has etched numbers and markings which resist abrasion. The stainless steel is uncoated so it can better withstand more caustic conditions. The blades have dual side printing, Imperial on one side, metric on the other.

Black Oxide Blade (Black Etched Blade)
Black oxide oil gauge tapes are for use with dark and clear liquids. The black steel blade has oxidized numbers and markings which better resist abrasion, and the black background makes it easier to see light colored oils and liquids. The blades have dual side printing, Imperial on one side, metric on the other side.
